A trustworthy French Becassine can be found in most Hitty homes. The look and their outfit is always pretty much the same. I'm not sure of the origin of Becassine as Hitty's housekeeper, but enough people requested them so I made a few batches. Their faces differ a bit, but otherwise, they all look quite similar.
Each doll was made by me, entirely by hand one at a time, using no molds. Hand sculpted of polymer clay, including their little cap, faces, shoes and socks. I use no paint except for a light blush for their cheeks. They are jointed at the hips and shoulders with a strong elastic cord. I designed and sewed their clothes, and sewed on some more snaps!
