You never know what people are going to ask for, but most requests were an interesting challenge. These little Holly Hobby style dolls were requested by more than one person, so I made a couple batches. Making little faces without much expression was kind of different. But I think they look sweet anyway. I liked making their bonnets. They stand about 5 inches tall.
Each doll was made by me, entirely by hand one at a time, using no molds. Hand sculpted of polymer clay, including their hair, faces, shoes and socks. I use no paint except for a light blush for their cheeks. They are jointed at the hips and shoulders with a strong elastic cord. I designed and sewed their little outfits, and sewed on a lot of tiny snaps and skinny ribbon.
